Souters has strengthened its healthcare portfolio with the announcement that it is working with international orthotic giant Ossur. The agency has been recruited by the firm that has its headquarters in Manchester to work on a number of projects, including raising the profile of flat head syndrome (plagiocephaly), a condition that effects one in 30 babies in the UK. Souters will be working with the team at Ossur to promote its treatment for the condition, PlagioCare, which it offers from its Technology in Motion clinics across the country. Commenting, Emma Beardsley (Account Director at the agency) said; “We will be taking client case studies to regional media. We have a bank of Mums and Dads across the country who are desperately keen to share their stories with other parents. There is a lack of public knowledge about the condition and the treatments available to parents. Unfortunately there is currently no provision for treatment by the NHS so more often than not, parents have to fundraise in-order to be able to afford and provide the treatment for their children.” Sherri Lomas from Ossur added; “We have worked with the team at Souters before and have always been very impressed with the results they have generated - they understand what the media wants and have delivered some excellent results for us in the past.” The agency is also working with the company’s Eindhoven-based European marketing team to provide product launch support. Souters will be copy-writing product brochures and developing case studies for use as sales literature and press material to demonstrate product benefit with end users.
