Souters, has been appointed by Lancashire Cheese producer Dewlay to promote the installation of a 126m wind turbine at its site near Garstang. The wind turbine is expected to be fully operational by September this year and will make the family run cheese business the first cheese maker in the UK to be powered by renewable energy. Souters has been appointed by Dewlay for six months to manage the communications campaign around the installation. Commenting account director Emma Beardsley said: “We are delighted to be on board with Dewlay. Green issues have never been higher on the media’s agenda. The press relations campaign will target broadcast, local and regional, trade and consumer press.” She continued: “There is also a CSR element to the campaign and we will be working with the local community to launch the ‘Wind Beneath Your Wings Fund’. The fund will see Dewlay donate money to local green causes.” On Souters' appointment, Nick Kenyon, managing director at Dewlay said: “We were impressed with Souters food and drink credentials and the team’s quick grasp of the brief – very thorough and creative. We are looking forward to working with the agency.” The account will be handled by account director Emma Beardsley and Souters account manager Diane Inglis. < Previous Story | Next Story > |
